Ostinato (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This page explains the information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices.

What information we collect

  • Information you give us: when you contact us, purchase a license, sign up for newsletters, fill forms (e.g., Professional Services form), we collect the information you provide - name, company, email, billing details, and any message text.

  • Payment data: we use Paddle to process payments. Paddle receives billing/payment information; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

  • Usage and analytics: we collect technical and usage data to operate and improve the site and product - for example page views, device, browser, IP (anonymised where possible), and interaction events.

  • Support chat and form data: messages you send via our chat or site forms are stored by those providers and may include personal contact details you submit.

Third-party services we use

We use a small set of trusted third parties to run the site and process purchases. These providers may receive limited personal data as needed to provide their services:

  • GetSiteControl - simple site widgets (surveys, popups). Used to collect voluntary feedback and email signups.

  • Paddle - payments and invoicing. Paddle receives billing information and processes payments. Paddle privacy.

  • Tawk.to - chat support. Chat transcripts and contact details you provide in chat are stored by Tawk.to to allow follow up. Tawk.to privacy

We may also use content delivery, hosting, and infrastructure providers; those services handle minimal technical data (IP, user agent) necessary to serve the site.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, and provide analytics. On first visit a cookie banner explains this and links to this policy. You can manage or block cookies in your browser; note that some site features may stop working if cookies are disabled.

How we use your data

We use data to:

  • Provide and improve the website and product information
  • Process purchases, invoices, and refunds via Paddle

We do not sell your personal data.

Data sharing and retention

We share data only with the third parties listed above, where necessary to provide services. We retain personal data for as long as needed for the purposes described (support, legal, billing), typically up to 2–7 years for financial records or longer where required by law. For analytics we retain aggregated or anonymised data as needed to improve the product.

We will respond in accordance with applicable laws.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However no internet transmission or storage is completely secure. If you suspect a data issue contact us immediately.

Children

Our site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
